The Great State Fair of Texas

Fair days are the best.  I remember in grade school when I would count down the days until the fair was in town.  I loved the games, the rides, the greasy food, the shows, the people watching...really just everything.  This year was no exception.  We actually went twice this year.  Once for OU/TX and  today.  Today was extra special because it was James' first experience at a fair.  It was a bit hot and very crowded, but I think he had a good time.  Unfortunately I wasn't able to get many pictures.  These days James just wants to walk.  He doesn't want to be held and he gets tired of the stroller pretty fast.  So we did alot of slow walking with him holding our hands.  I love that kid of mine.  He is such a trooper and seems to have so much fun any where we go.  I feel very fortunate and blessed that he is so easy to take anywhere.  Man I love that kid!

Oh I forgot to mention that James and I started off the morning at the Montessori School fall festival.  My sweet friend Chelsea invited us and we attempted to paint a pumpkin and James got to pet some animals at the petting zoo.  Thay had a dj there and James was bust'n a move.  He is such a dancer.  I love it!  Too bad I didn't get any pics of him doing any of the activities mentioned above.  I tried to get a photo of him petting the pig, but then he started slapping the pig over and over and I was worried we would make a very big pig mad.  He was a big fan of the play ground and I did happen to catch that.  Yeah for fall festivals!

Big Tex and his super creepy arms.

Hanging out with some good friends.
I'm sad that I didn't capture the face he was making in this reflection.  He was making silly faces at himself in the cars at the Ford exhibit.
Eating crackers and shopping.  What could be better?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that we all got something fried to try at the fair.  I choose the fried smores.  I loved it, but I'm a huge smores fan.  Jerimiah got fried peanut butter and jelly and bananas.  He took one bite and threw it away, bummer.  The fried moonpie was a hit as was the fried pumpkin pie.  Yummy!
